Border Safeguard supply and install portable fire extinguishers for businesses through the Borders, Northumberland, the Lothians and Edinburgh. All the extinguishers we supply conform to the appropriate British Standard and come with a minimum 12 month manufacturer’s guarantee.

If you are a company you have a legal obligation to install and maintain fire fighting equipment to protect you, you employees and the general public. After an extinguisher has been used, even if only partially, it must be recharged or replaced and all extinguishers should be fully serviced annually.

Border Safeguard will make servicing your fire extinguishers an effortless legal obligation for you. Our service engineers will carry out your servicing in accordance to BS5306. For your convenience, our Service Department will remind you when your annual service is due and make the necessary arrangements for an engineer to visit.   • Fire Door Retainers - An acoustic device that holds a fire door open in any position and automatically releases the door should a fire alarm sound.
  • Fire Blankets - The essential performance requirement of any fire blanket is to extinguish a cooking oil fire and to allow the oil to cool gradually. Kite marked blankets comply with BS EN1869:1997 and the strong and supple blanket provides user confidence.
  • Red Moulded Extinguisher Stands - Manufactured in high impact and chemical resistant plastic. Available in red, grey and cream and fully free-standing design with skirting board recess. Suitable for food preparation areas.
