The Fire (Scotland) Act was introduced in 2005, shortly followed by the Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006. What does this mean? Well these regulations now make it obligatory for all non-domestic properties to undergo a Fire Risk Assessment.
Although self-compliant in nature, if you are a director, business owner or employer, you could be held responsible for any issues arising from a fire at your commercial property. If you don't have the time, or the experience, to undertake a Fire Risk Assessment yourself, Border Safeguard can help.
We can arrange to have a Fire Risk Assessment undertaken on your premises, freeing you from the worry and burden of undertaking the task (not to mention the risk involved in misunderstanding assessment criteria). Our fully qualified former local authority Fire Safety Officer is certified to national standards, and has over 20 years specialist experience in fire safety. Using the latest BSI British Standard template, and as a licensed user of PAS 79 : 2012, Border Safeguard will advise you of any compliance issues, and a way to resolve them that won't break the bank.
If you think we at Border Safeguard can help with your needs with regards Fire Risk Assessment implementation, then please get in touch. We regularly inspect business premises in the Borders, Northumberland, the Lothians and Edinburgh, and we'd be happy to provide a free, no obligation quote.
